FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

SUMMARY

Responsible for providing support for all technology within the District.  This position is responsible for responding to Service Desk tickets, deploying I.T. equipment, testing patches, training end-users, and evaluating best support actions based on available resources.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Knowledge and Skills:  Must have strong skills and knowledge of Windows OS and MAC/OSX operating systems and a working knowledge of Android OS and iOS operating systems.  Should have an advanced understanding of networking fundamentals.  Strong verbal and written communication skills are required along with good organizational skills.  Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task. Must have excellent customer services skills.  

 

Abilities:  Ability to work independently, perform all the duties of the position efficiently and effectively.  Must be able to coordinate and perform complex office and technological work with speed and accuracy.  Requires the ability to analyze situations and accurately adopt an effective course of action. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.  Must be available for occasional night and weekend work.

 

Education and Experience:  Associate’s degree in computer related field or 2 years’ experience with PC/Network support. Understanding and knowledge of Microsoft and Apple products.  Experience and understanding of networking essentials and computer hardware/software troubleshooting.

 

Certifications and Licenses:  CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ and ITIL Foundations certification required.  If not certified, must be able to become certified within 1 year.  Valid drivers’ license required.
