The SUP/FT special education teacher services a diverse group of low incidence students. Most SUP/FT students are assessed via the PASA and the teacher works diligently to address their complex learning needs and maximize their strengths.”

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Certification:

 

Must have a Special Education K-12 Certification.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

 

Work with children using general education curriculum, or modifying it, to meet the child’s individual needs.  Must have excellent communication skills, problem-solving/conflict resolution skills, and collaboration skills. Knowledge of state, federal and Board policies, guidelines, and procedures and the rights and responsibilities of parents, students, teachers and schools as they relate to individuals with special needs.

 

 Must be Safe Crisis Management Trained or be able to be SCM trained.

 

Pay Rate: $56,083-90,959.00 (based on highest earned degree and years of experience)

Hours: Elementary - 8:35 AM- 4:05 PM

           Middle School - 7:20 AM - 2:50 PM

           High School - 7:20 AM - 2:50 PM
