 SUMMARY

 

Performs administrative duties to support the operation of Safety & Security Department and Police Department of the District.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Review FBI, State Police and Child abuse clearances for volunteers.
  2. Coordinate, schedule and provide all employee and contractor badging and access programming for the District.
  3. Maintain the employee and volunteer access database.
  4. Coordinate, schedule and complete all volunteer badging for the district.
  5. Keep access control system and burglar alarm with Key Scan up to date with school events and security policies. Maintain access for employees, doors, holidays, special events and weekend activities.
  6. Order and maintain all badging supplies and equipment.
  7. Prepare and maintain all brochures and parent information as related to safety and security.
  8. Maintain all District asset tags for items purchased by the department.
  9. Cover front desk duties if needed during secretary’s absence.
  10. Perform other job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Knowledge and Skills: Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills and strong mathematical aptitude with attention to detail is a must. Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel computer skills.

 

Abilities: Ability to work independently, perform all the duties of the position efficiently and effectively. Requires the ability to plan, organize and prioritize work in order to meet schedules and timelines. Must be able to multi-task and quickly adapt to ever changing situations. Requires the ability to analyze situations and accurately adopt an effective course of action. Requires the ability to communicate with the public using courtesy, and in a manner that reflects positively on the department and District. Must be available for occasional night and weekend work.

 

 

Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. Three to five years administrative experience preferred.
