SUMMARY
Follow Federal and State Regulations and Standards and Central Dauphin School District policies and procedures in providing a program design that will develop the speech/language skills necessary for academic success and age appropriate social interactions with peers and adults. The Itinerant Speech/Language goal is to improve the student’s communication skills so that he/she can effectively communicate within all environments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Certification:
Must have a School Speech and Language Pathologist (PK-12) or Special Education - Speech and Language Impaired PK-12 certification.
Knowledge and Skills:
The ability to provide speech and language therapy to meet the identified speech and language needs of children/students with a speech and language disability. Knowledge of state, federal and Board policies, guidelines, and procedures and the rights and responsibilities of parents, students, teachers and schools as they relate to individuals with special needs.
Pay Rate: $56,083-$90,959 (based on highest earned degree and years of experience)

Hours: Elementary - 8:35 AM- 4:05 PM
Middle School - 7:20 AM - 2:50 PM
High School - 7:20 AM - 2:50 PM
